MUSIC gallery. START MOBILE has created the M60
- mobile sixty second MP3s created by independent musicians
that are COMPLETE songs, delivered directly to cell phones
as 'true tones'.

 START MOBILE'S groundbreaking M60s provide a
NEW medium for independent musicians to DIRECTLY reach a
truly global mobile audience.
"In response to the ten second
clips that are being sold as ringtones for two or even three
times the price of the full songs, START MOBILE created the
M60 - mobile sixty second songs delivered directly to consumers'
cell phones + mobile devices", according to John Doffing, founder
of START MOBILE. "And to launch the world's first M60s,
we are making HUNDREDS of them available for FREE for sixty days."
For decades, 3 1/2
minute pop songs were the norm, owing largely
to the capacity of the 45 rpm single. M60s capitalize
upon new technologies, and allow independent musicians
to DIRECTLY reach consumers via the two BILLION cell
phones currently in use worldwide.

mix of independent musical talent from around the world

being that their songs had to clock in at sixty seconds. "It
was like writing a haiku," observed Wiseproof, the Bay Area
rapper who created the world's first M60. "The inherent
brevity of this new format was less a limitation than an opportunity
to manifest exceptional creativity - a chance to make every
word, every beat, every thought count".
